Why I belong...
Dr. Caton chose to be a surgeon because she wanted to be challenged and be able to look back at the end of her life and know that she made a difference in the lives of others. She chose Salem Clinic for the many happy doctors who also practice here, the great people and patients in the community, and the natural beauty of Salem and surrounding areas. Dr. Caton's favorite part of working at Salem Clinic is the comfort that she has knowing that "here, we do medicine right!"

For life...
Dr. Caton moved to Salem with her husband and children from Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2010. She grew up in West Texas, where she also went to Medical School. Dr. Caton enjoys the breadth of general surgery and the chance to cure patients’ surgical diseases. Her special surgical interest is breast cancer cases.

Dr. Caton enjoys running and running after her three active children. One of her greatest accomplishments was running a full marathon at age 40; another was rebuilding an RV with only Youtube as her guide! Dr. Caton enjoys remodeling and design, inside and out. As a whole (Ron (husband), Kai (14), Gracen (11) and Eli (8)), the Caton family enjoys gardening, hiking, attending ballet performances, berry picking and RV-ing to National Parks.

Dr. Caton is motivated by making order from chaos, wherever that may be.
