Bio
Dr. Christopher Walker is a board-certified family medicine physician who is excited to care for patients at Salem Clinic. He grew up in Naches, Washington, where his love for community, the outdoors, and teamwork began. Dr. Walker played college baseball while completing his undergraduate education at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho, where he double majored in Biology and Exercise Science.
He earned his medical degree at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Yakima, Washington, and went on to complete a rural family medicine residency in Chehalis, Washington. Dr. Walker chose to join Salem Clinic because of the people, the strong sense of community, and his desire to continue practicing in the Pacific Northwest—an area he values for its unique location between the mountains and the coast.
Dr. Walker’s clinical interests include caring for patients across the lifespan—from pediatrics to geriatrics—chronic disease management, preventive care, and helping patients make sustainable lifestyle changes to improve their health. He values partnering with patients and families to provide evidence-based care that aligns with their goals and values.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Walker enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, especially outdoors camping, hiking, backpacking, and exploring tide pools along the coast. He also enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, CrossFit, slow-pitch softball, and enthusiastically cheering (or yelling) while watching the Mariners or Seahawks.
One of Dr. Walker’s favorite aspects of family medicine is not only caring for entire families, but also learning their stories and understanding what matters most to them—allowing him to make thoughtful, personalized medical decisions alongside his patients.
