Dr Skelding is a native of New Orleans. He had the good fortune to marry a native of Salem, who he met during college at Columbia University. After completing a Rhodes Scholarship in Oxford, England, he earned his medical degree at Harvard Medical School. He returned to New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina to help rebuild his hometown and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Tulane University. Dr Skelding enjoys getting to know his patients and feels privileged to have the opportunity to help them achieve and maintain optimal health.
Dr Skelding joined a Mardi Gras dance and charity group called the 610 Stompers and returns each year to dance at Mardi Gras. He is also active hiking and biking. He lives in Salem with his wife and four children.
