Ms. Akbari was born in Reno, Nevada. She attended University of Nevada Reno and graduated with degrees in biology and psychology. Ms. Akbari's interest in physician assistant studies was sparked during her employment as an EMT for Reno's ambulance company. She went to PA school in Boston at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Ms. Akbari comes to Salem Clinic by way of California, where she began her career in emergency medicine. Ms. Akbari's time away from work is spent with her family, traveling, in the outdoors, enjoying a good run and doing yoga.
